I think a change in people's spending habits are going to hurt that sector real bad. 25% or so is medical, that will stay steady and is bullet proof. Gun related items were about 25% as a year in year out average over the last dozen years.
The thing that drives gun related sales is usually good ole panic buying, which we now have, as people want to stock up on guns and ammo to protect their supply of toilet paper. After that when Biden gets elected the fear of an assault rifle ban will create excessive buying of those and related accessories.
I have one gun related customer who has gone crazy sending me orders in the last two months. I manufacture parts used in gunsmithing kits to work on AK-47s among other things. In a lengthy discussion on how keep him at minimum supply on all items the subject of politics related to guns came up.
I have done business with this guy for well over a dozen years and I was shocked that it never dawned on him that a Democrat in office is the best thing for his bank account, due to the fear of "They are going to take our guns away." After some thought he did realize his business took a big down turn when Trump was elected.
