What this random know nothing fan would have done
- offered him 4 yrs/62M/45 guar
- let him explore other offers, we leave the 4/62 on table for him and he gives us right to match any offer (or transition tag him)
- He realizes with shrinking cap and flood of good guards, our offer is best and he signs it
- He finds a better offer, we dont match, we sign a good FA guard for 5-8M, collect our 3rd R comp

He didnt sign his tag until March 31 last year .. maybe we find a better option in FA on march 17th and pull the tag.
Not a fan of paying a guard 18 M plus, especially a guard who is just outside the top 5 guards
