Problem is, we're not seeing 6' tall muscular young women trying to be kickers, they're 5' tall and petite.
The men we see as NFL kickers are still solid athletes.
Skill-wise, Becca Longo probably has/had the best shot to be the first to make it to the NFL as a kicker since we haven't seen taht Vanderbilt girl actually attempt a meaningful kick. She clearly has the leg for it...but honestly, do you see her surviving a big hit? Kickers are targeted on blocked kicks and when a returner busts a return. I don't want to see what happens.
Do you see a small female surviving any of these? None of us probably would either.
