When Texas or Florida start having above average deaths for their infection rate and their population size then I will.
DeSantis policy from the beginning was to protect the most vulnerable populations while keeping his State's economy running. That has been and remains largely a success. Even given the expanded infection rate the mortality rate with those infected remains below average. Rates for those infected dying in those two states are about the same as those in California the differences is those two states did not shut their economies down. This also shows that lock-downs won't stop or even slow the spread of the virus. The left want DeSantis to implement the lock down policies that failed in their states and are bit infuriated that he's not (which highlights their failure). What is failing in Florida and Texas is vaccinations which you can't blame Desantis for (You can blame Trump and his anti vax idiot followers though).
