I did think the video itself was very well done.
Points of note to me:
1) they have a fan say "I like that we didn't just rush into some generic name" Keeping WFT would be like, nope we took 2 years to pick a generic name, they did also keep in a fan that said - "I like Washington Football Team i don't care what anyone says" note - she also liked RedWolves and howled
2) they had all the fans shown Howl (one point against RW because they did keep in the part with the baby crying at the howl)
3) 3 of the logos were Wolf based
4) The only logo I actually liked was the one with the monuments - and they did have that get the best fan response.

I came here to post exactly your points 1) and 2).
IMO WFT is 95% out, they can not afford to look that stupid. How lame would their amazing and thorough process look if it didn't come up with anything better than the temporary generic name found in 2 weeks...
I think the howling part says a lot, you can see how, on top of being a fun way to bring people together, it'll also be a great way to get fans fired up and implicated in the game. We've lacked that for years.
I love our fight song, but when I went to FedEx in 2018 most people didn't know half the lyrics...
