Dangersous things happen on the football field every game, should we cancel the sport?
For example a WR jumps high for a ball with his back to the Defensive back. The DB proceeds to take the legs out form under the WR while he is still in the air. The WR does a 180 in the air and lands on his head. I have seen this happen many times, but it is not out-lawed. Darryl Stingley of the NE Patriots is paralyzed from this situation happening when Oakland raiders Safety Jack Tatum did this exact thing to him back on Aug. 12, 1978. This kind of hit is not outlawed.
Football is a dangerous sport. The only problem I have is the rules are made to protect the offensive player twice as much as for the defensive player. Plus add in all the rules made to create more offense. The game is turning into the canadian football league, tons of scoring and no defense.
