Mark Brunell would have been brought in regardless if Patrick was the clear starter or not. Look back on history, you'll find that Gibbs loves his veterans, especially at quarterback. That has always been a key to the Redskins' success: depth and protection! In all honesty, both quarterbacks showed me nothing last year when they were battling for the starting position. Neither deserved the starting nod. Gibbs went with the veteran and it's paid off.

Neither Lavar nor Ramsey has been thrown away. Will they be cut this season? Who knows, but I'm pretty sure Gibbs and company will make the decisions best on what is best for the team..and that isn't always what we think is fair for the players. You can't argue with a coach who's won Super Bowls with three different quarterbacks.

You can say anything you want to about Brunell...nobody is saying you have no voice. However, I'm judging my thoughts based on what I have witnessed - not what I wished I could see. Therefore, based on fact, Mark Brunell has played very well for us this year and has made some great plays and great decisions. He hasnt' done anything that suggests to me that it is time to make a quarterback switch.
