Schefter even was onto this a couple days ago - that just because the media was saying Johnson was a lock, that he probably wasn't even the favorite.... so while I agree that Johnson didn't get "scared off", I don't buy that he simply decided his best opportunity is with the Lions. He just wasn't the best candidate, he knew that, and he made the first move to take himself out of the running. My guess is Slowik did the same.

I respectfully disagree. If BJ had asked for a reasonable paycheck he would be our guy. I could be wrong, because who the hell am I, but I would be willing to bet that Peters absolutely wanted him to be the guy.
Anyway, at this point I am praying for Mac.
