I'm not criticizing Chinn, not everyone we pick up can be an upgrade. Curl is better, far better, and I'm not the only one who thinks that, as outside of many Redskins fans (since yesterday) everyone thinks that. He is a fine tackler, but he can't cover, he never could even in the 2020-2021 seasons. They used him more as a hybrid LB/SS in 2020-2021. I'm sure the coaching staff knows that and will use him appropriately. |
I'm guessing DQ sees him as a better fit for his defense and the role he wants him in.
