Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel
Titans -
Giants -
Black Monday is almost here. Who else has openings?
Poor record leads to firings:
Will not be shocking if Raiders, Browns, Jets, Cards have openings. 2 of those, would be one and done.
Disappointing seasons could lead to changes or one final reprieve:
Dolphins, Bengals, Falcons. These 3 could have openings but they could also get one more year; though I don’t know why Falcons bring back Morris.
These teams could have openings, depending on how their season ends:
Bucs, Steelers, Ravens, Bills.
Bucs definitely will have an opening; if they lose division to Panthers. Steelers won’t fire Tomlin but they might let him go or trade him; if they fail to make playoffs and win a game. Ravens miss playoffs and it might be time for a fresh perspective. Harbaugh has been there almost as long as Tomlin has in Pittsburgh. Bills’s main obstacle Chiefs are out. Bengals are out. Ravens likely out but wouldn’t be a threat to Bills. So now is time for a Superbowl berth. Anything less and time for change.
The most interesting potential changes would be Bills, Ravens and Steelers. I’d expect Tomlin and Stefanski to get another job, if they wanted it.
