I was originally on Downs, but it may be true that he is not a ball hawk and not really worthy of the 7th pick due to position value. He needs to be special in every way to justify a top 7 pick on a safety.

I believe Bain may very well make a lot of GMs look stupid. He destroyed top college OT's who had longer arms. But that's a risk I'm not willing to take with the 7th pick, they can't miss on this pick. Styles is now my preference but I actually believe they will take Tate for several reasons. 1. It obviously fills a need. 2. Free agent WRs are far more expensive than a free agent at the other positions discussed. The best way to get a good WR by far is through the draft. 3. They have to get Jayden back to 2024 Jayden Daniels. That means more to this team's future than any player they take at 7. He has proven that he can carry a team so give him weapons to get him back on track.

For many of the same reasons I can see Delane as the pick as well. Again a player, like Tate, who is not as good as the others discussed. But again it's a need, it's a critical position and CBs in free agency are expensive as well.
I don't see them taking Bain, too many questions and maybe not a scheme fit. Regarding Tate vs Delane, I would take Delane, why? Delane is easily a #1 CB, and Tate is Not a #1 wr, heck he wasn't even on his own college team.

I think my view has changes a tad since watching Keim. He seems to imply it is styles ober Delane. I mean a safety is great and all, but his angle is he is not going to directly affect the QB. Anyone in the front 7 could, and potentially a lockdown corner. The only offensive player we should pick at 7 is Love and that ain't gonna happen because he will be gone by 5. If love is there, we MUST pick him. He is a game changer and easily the best offensive player in the draft that isn't a QB.
My guess is we get the top CB in Delane, then a Wr in the third.
Otherwise it will be us getting lucky with Styles, Love. I now am thinking Delane over Caleb Downs. Having Downs as your backup plan is an exceptionally good problem to have, because I still see him as a star, just not one who contributed to sacks.

If we get Love, I would freak out. I know, I know, but that dude changes everything on offense, who else on the list can you say that about? Hell, he could go #2, I wouldn't be surprised, ok...a bit
