I like Deebo too, the issue is does he really add anything that say McCafferty couldn't do.
I mean a ton of WR screens and end arounds isn't really hard to reproduce.
He is pretty clutch though, but its hard to drop passes when they are all under 10 yards.
I heard Fowler suggesting they talked about Diggs but were mainly looking for speed, so that would rule out Deebo, and probably Diggs as well as most older guys.
He may have just been making it up, but if he wasn't, there isn't a speed guy option out there, who wasn't seriously injured.
To me, the only way they find one like that is via trade, and I'm not so sure that's a great idea with next year's draft projected to be great. Maybe trade Luvu/Payne.
I am starting to suspect ther is an 80% chance we ride it out with what we have, and hope someone cuts a guy.
I don't like that approach, but in the long run, if we lose a bit this year and get a stellar coach and another #1 WR next year to become long term contenders, I am ok with that.
