I am not suggesting the sky is falling here, embarrassing loss aside. What does concern me -- and I think concerns most folks -- is that even bearing in mind that we didn't play Allegretti (hurt), Wylie, Conerly, Coleman, Paul, Cosmi (illness, but wouldn't have played anyway), and Tunsil (hurt) -- all starters except Wylie (now that Tunsil is hurt), the OL has been atrocious, including against other teams' backups. And with a QB that only started and finished 4/17 games last season, there's reason for real concern.

That said, I'd be surprised if AP doesn't do something soon beyond the addition of Humphries. I expect Gulbin and Scott make the squad, and assuming there's room for 9 OL, we have room for another player (with Tunsil surely going on at least short-term IR). Not entirely sure Gulbin does better than practice squad, in which case there may be 2 slots to fill. I think we can agree that Good-Jones, Hill, Sharping, Togiai, and Petit-Frere are all gone.

If we can do something to help the OL and get at least average OL play, I think this team can surprise folks this season. But at the moment, we're looking at an O-line with Coleman, Paul, Allegretti, Cosmi, and Conerly. The first three names on that list are guys that have been benched off and on, and the center -- the only one close to being starter quality at C -- has all of 1 practice under his belt so far this year.

I actually think we improved everywhere else relative to last year. But if sub-par OL play gets JD5 injured, it will be a long season.
