Re: Post Colt thread
Injuries are killing us: already without Daniels, Tunsil, Amos, Cosmi, McLaurin, Cross, and White during yesterday's game we lost Lane (out for the season with a dislocated and broken ankle), Reaves (needed a ton of stitches in his hand), Omenihu, and of course Mariota.
That's more than 20% of the team on the shelf and our 3 best players (Tunsil, Daniels, and McLaurin), our first 2 QBs (how many teams would win games with QB3), 7 starters, 1 guy who should probably be RB1 at this point, and our best kick returner. Not saying that the coaches were great yesterday, but it isn't clear that any team could overcome these kinds of losses.
And what's crazy is that we actually had opportunities, even though the game eventually got out of hand. The called back TD by Williams, the non-PI against Burks, and the absurd penalty on Robertson -- those three plays were a difference of 17 points.
I'd like to see what this team could do at something closer to full strength. If we can get everyone but Tunsil, Lane and Mariota back next week (big if), well have a better idea of what this team is capable of.
