I think you completely missed my point....

What I was trying to say is that cutting players will leave us over the cap (thought I was pretty clear). The only shot we have is renegotiating deals.

The question with redoing the deals is if it is even possible under the current year rules to create enough space to be under, and if so, will enough players "step up".

If the Ashburn brain trust HAS a method for doing this and enough players willing to deal, then the question becomes, is it possible to get below the cap enough to raid the about to be depressed FA market.

BTW, I think the key to pulling this off actually means making a commitment to Lavar.
