Just saw this on ESPN.

"A high-level source with one NFL team told ESPN.com the league has informed teams that any player placed on waivers during the period of uncertainty (which includes players in this story) can be recalled from waivers until there is more clarity about the pending free-agency period."

Also has Shields been offically cut?

"(Rotoworld) Despite a FoxSports.com report to the contrary, Will Shields has not been released by the Chiefs.Impact: Perhaps the announcement will come later, but Shields may at least have a three-day reprieve to see if a new CBA can be worked out."
