In that interview Lavar said it was like "russian roulette" w/the coaches & this staff was the only one that he had a problem with. Ask Marvin Lewis about that.
Maybe this was the only staff that truly disciplined him for his mistakes. even pros can go through a career getting away w/what they want because of their talent, until a strong staff steps up.
