I have the cube and I like it, but if I had the choice I'd go with the xbox simply because of it's superior graphics and a much wider selection of games. But if you're into nintendo's original games like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc. than it's definitely worth having.
Hell, with how cheap the systems are now, it's worth it to pick up more than one. I picked up the PS2 a few months ago and I really like having two systems.
