Technically, Lloyd comes as a trade, not a free agent, so he wouldn't be among the choice of "best free agent" on redskins.com.
Of the choices on this survey, I selected Lloyd not so much for talent as for where the offense and defense stand. Carter adds more pass rush to an already talented defense. They should be a top ten squad next season, but were top ten in the past two seasons. The offense has one and a half deep receiving threats (Moss & Cooley) to go with a power running game. After Patten's injury, opposing defenses stacked the line and double-triple covered Moss, but the offense couldn't make them pay. Lloyd & R-El both (should) add a new dimension to the passing game that will have a greater impact on the offense that Carter will on the D.
Lloyd should emerge as the #2 WR. I see Randle-El and I think "Brian Mitchell;" versatile with his biggest impact on special teams.
