apparently not. I think the SB thing was in response to what happened to Ricky Williams. Its really hard to give back money you've already spent, and in the real world, it'd be illegal (unless you had behavoir clauses in the contract or some such. But even then, you'd think those clauses would be tied to future option bonuses, and not money they've already given you).

In other words, it sucks, but (after the rookie contract) It makes sense. Rookie contracts have to have a lot of guaranteed money though and generally don't have an easy way to tie money to clauses with so much in unguarded signing bonus.
