Let's be realistic about next year. The Skins were one of the final 4 teams left in the NFC. I don't think any of those final 4 teams (Seattle, Chicago, Carolina, and Washington) took a step back so far going in to 06. However, I do think the Skins have taken a step forward with their recent signings. If you think Carolina took a step forward signing Keyshawn, then maybe they have helped themselves as well. I also think that the Skins took several of the FAs that Chicago wanted and they were a final 4 team. Based on last year and our signings we should be predicted to be either 1st or second in the division and maybe even predicted to make the NFC Championship game. Beyond that is anyone's guess, but these guys theat have us taking a step back are just foolish.
