I also read that his MRI and diagnosis were done by a chiropractor, and not a licensed MD. It sounds to me like he was looking for an excuse and found a hack to play along. No offense to chiropractors on the board, it just makes a difference to me that it was done by someone who did not go to medical school rather than a sports medicine MD or orthopedic surgeon...
