The best thing about this entire debate is that nobody really knows for sure what Bush is going to do in the NFL. Will he be the next Barry Sanders or Ladanian? Who knows, but personally, I doubt it. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen so much hype for a part-time college role-playing back. I certainly don't see him being an every-down back in the NFL.......so just how valuable is he really? The hype surrounding him and his success in college actually kind of reminds me of Peter Warrick.

And what about Mario Williams? Is he going to be the next Dwight Freeney/Julius Peppers, or the next Courtney Brown (God it hurts me to say that)? Nobody really knows. Personally, the limited action I've seen him in he's looked outstanding. Either way, I'd be willing to bet Mario Williams will play a higher percentage of snaps for the Texans than Reggie Bush would have.

Questioning the Texans on this move, however, I don't understand. As I see it, the Texans already have a very good, possibly great, starting running back. What they don't have is a pass-rush or a rock-solid LT.......and because of that, I've thought all along the Texans would be better served taking Williams or Ferguson (of course, it seems like they probably should have been able to trade down and still get their guy......not sure why that didn't happen).

Likewise, I think the Saints would be foolish taking Bush with Ferguson still there. If Duece is healthy, what do you need Bush for? The Saints have more pressing needs. If I were them, I'd trade down to 3 or 4 and take Brick and let the Jets or Titans have Bush (two teams that could actually use him....on a part-time basis of course).
