I guess we'll see how much of his throwing the ball away was due to what he was being asked to do in the offense vs. his not wanting to take a hit.

I'd say it's hard to hang in the pocket for your 3rd and 4th option when those options are the likes of Taylor Jacobs and Jimmy Farris.

We didn't have any depth at WR last year, it was Moss and then Cooley as the main options. This year there will be no excuses. If Brunell is still throwing it away after looking at just his first two reads I'll buy this notion that he's scared to take a hit. Until then, my take is he was doing what he was asked to do and was limited by the lack of depth at WR.
