I owned a VW Jetta once and while it was great on gas and ran smooth with 125,000+ miles, it nickel and dimed me to death on stupid little repairs. The parts were anywhere from 3 to 5 times more than the same part on a domestic car...or more.

Since then I've owned all American cars and have had GREAT luck with them. My current Ford has over 100K on it and still running GREAT with only an alternator replacement since I've owned it...and my wife's Pontiac has 85K on it and has not had a SINGLE problem. She bought it with 8 miles on it.

The trendy thing to do is bash American, and the car magazines have jumped on the bandwagon, but if you take care of your American car...it'll be just as or MORE reliable than a foreign car and you'll save a ton of money on the maintenance and any repairs it may need.

I'll never buy another foreign car again.

But Hondas are made in Ohio!!! Yes, and while it may give Americans jobs, the profits still go back to Japan.
