Lavar's hurt mostly because he knows that Dan Snyder finally is getting out of the way, and there are finally good coaches in place. Notice how he didn't criticize Gibbs or Williams? Lavar is upset because finally, FINALLY the Skins have something going, and the coaches didn't think he deserved to be a part of it. That's what really hurts. Because in the end Dan Snyder is a guy that knows nothing about football. But when a hall-of-fame coach treats you like you're not wanted, that has to hit home.
And it hits home for a reason. Lavar was out most of last season and we went 10-6. GW obviously doesn't need him to put up a good defense, which of course answers the ultimate question in today's NFL: is this player worth his cap figure? The answer is a resounding no.

All good points but I thought Lavar played really well at the end of the season. I also think his being humbled combined w/his knee recovering fully, will make him a better player this year. I hated to see him go, but also did an awful lot to deserve his treatment by the team.
