It's early enough where I'm unconcerned. I have to hope that Campbell firmly establishes himself as the immediate backup to Brunell because failure to do so would suggest bad news in our future. In that case, Collins only gets PT in the catastrophic scenario where Brunell and Campbell go down.
Collins is more valuable as a third string QB than most because of what he brings off the field; he knows the offense and can help other players transition into it. Most teams get absolutely zero value for their third string QB, and I'm at least greatful that we have a guy who can tutor others.
I understand Brunell looked better on day 2 and Campbell has been impressive thus far. Regardless of Collins, that's good new as far as I'm concerned.
