I see your point, and I can attest to the trouble college kids get into with their landlords, having been in the situation before myself. I just feel that the NFL is justified in fining these exorbitant sums for players leaving a mandatory league symposium that they knew they had to attend well in advance, and that the fines are commensurate with the severity of the violation and the level of compensation the players receive.
