Unless he really impresses the rest of the way he's a likely cut. It's really a simple decision, him or Patten. If Patten is 100% there's no way Jacobs beats him out.

Matty while I agree with you and others about Jacobs and his lack of productivity thus far, I think the decision about who to cut between him and Patten comes down to the importance of that roster spot. The 4th, 5th, and 6th receivers (if we keep six) have to play ST. Patten is not a ST player, so I beg to ask the question again; What is Patten going to do on Sunday's if he's on the team? Will we use that roster spot for a guy who will only catch a pass or two here and there, and make no other contribution or use the spot for a more serviceable player? Patten was signed as a free agent, Jacobs a 2nd round DC, which player has the most up-side long term for the position and salry?
