COMMON MISCONCEPTION - at least it seems to be prevalent on this site. The idea that Gibbs might pick up the practice of trading picks for players from SNYDER is all backwards. In the 5 years before Gibbs' arrival, Snyder had 32 picks (started with 35 - net loss of 1/2 per year). And he had 5 first rounders in 5 years. Now go back to the Gibbs years. The team had 132 of 144 picks in 12 years (lost 1 per year). But they only had FOUR first rounders in 12 years, and were famous for trading high picks for vets. Just thought it might be of interest to some that were not here for the 80's Skins.
