Preseason is not about getting wins, it is about fine tuning your teams and seeing what fits and doesn't fit. Al Saunders told the press that he has used less than 2% of his masterpeice of offensive plays. We have hardly seen Randel-El in any plays. He will be a major part of our offense this year. So all of you Hogs and Hogettes out there, don't worry we will be O.K come Sept. 11.

You're right. It's not whether you win or lose in preseason, it's how you look. If they're losing 28-24, or 17-16, and the offense is moving down the field in some sort of cohesion; converting a third down here and there; getting a long, time consuming drive; but falling just short in some way, you wouldn't hear the alarms going off here at the Warpath.
The problem is, we have seen NONE of what I just described. Joe Gibbs even said at one point that it looks like a lack of drive, that some players are expecting the playoff run last season to buy them success this season. That says a lot. It speaks more to a problem mentally, on a subconscious level -- about an eerie feel to a team that looks completely out of focus.
But hey -- don't worry! All they have to do is flip a switch around 8pm on September 11th, and everything will be just fine!
...Right?
