They say you gotta ignore temper tantrums. If you give them any kind of attention, even negative attention like a smack in the face, it teaches the child that tantrums get some sort of reaction.

Oh well. I guess my child's going to learn that temper tantrums do indeed get a reaction... one involving a hand and a hiney.
