On the topic of the shovel pass. I remember they ran that play in Goalline against the Giants at Fedex in 2004 with Ramsey at QB. Later when Goerge Micheal or someone was congratulating Gibbs he said, "That's a Coach Breaux play." Granted, Saunders must have a shovel pass in his vaunted playbook as well. At 700 pages what could he not have?
That and the use of alot of bunch-type formations yesterday may be an indication that Saunders is open to input from the other coaches. Bunch formations are considered Gibbs' great contribution to the passing portion of this style offense. It makes the reads and progressions alot easier because the QB doesn't have to see the whole field.
Of course I could be grasping at straws. Saunders may be an absolute autocrat for all I know.
