Re: Redskins v. Giants: Goat of the Week?

The whole team played like crap, no question about it. I agree with Boswell's general point that this team just does not show up unless their "backs are to the wall". You can't be great like that. You've got to be motivated to win every week. It seems like a silly thing to say, but I think that's the big thing. We come out flat and no one is able to pick us up, Sometimes, Portis alone can do it, but if he can;t no one else does. We are not in it mentally, so we get our ass kicked physically. that has to change.

What happened to our D? It is NOT the same and it's not just Springs and Clark. They do not have the same look at all, and it's very depressing. Those endless Giant Drives were unbearbale. We looked like a practice squad out there on D.

The offense really seems to need a few drives to get their rhythm. It's like they don't think they can do it for the first few drives. And in a game where the D is having trouble, that's bad. But it was a six point game at the half, and we came out EVEN WEAKER. Where's the fire on this team???

As for MB (yes, I'm going there), sure, switching him is no magic bullet. But he's just not that good a QB. We know that--sometimes he has his moments still, but it's oftem not enough. I don't expect to see Campbell any time soon, but I will be happy when I finally do. because it's hard to win without a high-quality QB. Maybe Campbell's not the guy. But I am losing faith that Brunnel is.
