Mooby's pretty much dead on. Do you think every QB who makes multiple mistakes in a game should be benched the next week? Should the Eagles bench Donovan McNabb because they lost to the Saints? Should the Bengals bench Carson Palmer because they lost to Tampa Bay? I mean, they both made a bunch of mistakes today.
And what is this "here for last season" arguement? I would use that as a pro-Brunell arguement.
For the record I think if this team misses the playoffs, Campbell should get the job next season. So this arguement isn't really about my love for Brunell. It's about protecting the QB of YOUR Washington Redskins from becoming a Scapegoat for a team who has a defense that will be ranked in the bottom quarter of the league after this week.
