regular season? Because when the starters played against New England's starters in the third preseason game, the same thing happened.
Everybody said not to worry, it was vanilla defense, it was preseason, and Williams wasn't showing anything. Some of us, the skeptics (sometimes labelled fairweather) who passed up the Kool-Aid thought otherwise.
Looking good in preseason certainly doesn't mean squat (witness Spurrier's win/loss record in August) But looking bad in preseason just might have validity now and then.
Unless you think we're still headed for the Super Bowl. Because you know what happened the last time Gibbs went winless in exhibition ...
