Isn't it the coaches job to have players live up to their potential? Teach them the fundamentals, teach them the scheme, keep them sharp? Is Gibbs
the problem? No. Could he be part of it. Sure.
In my opinion, this board would be hanging Gibbs up by his feet right now if not for what he had done in the 80s. He's still living a lot off of reputation. I think he's an excellent motivator, partially because of who he is, partially because he's in the HOF and he's won so much in the past. But to blindly just follow him and say he's infallable is a mistake.
