My goodness, tempers are wearing thin here on the Warpath...
Maybe it makes y'all feel better to insult each other--if so, then have at it. At this point, all us skins fans are feeling pretty low.
Brunnell is done and needs to sit. Said it last week after the win over the boys, saying it again.
But at least there's a POTENITAL fix there in Campbell. The D is much more worrisome, and potentially a long-term problem. Arch is a complete bust--the highest paid specialteamer ever. And he's not great at that either, IMO. Carter is doing nothing. Even when single teamed he gets no push or pressure, much less sacks. The secondarys is in dissaray--lost one safety to FA, another to injury, then let one vet CB go, and lost our #1 to injury. And AA, Rumph, etc. have been the replacements. How do you fix that? And Carlos "the Cushion" Rogers has taken a step backward, as has Taylor. And Marshall isn't Pierce at MLB, and Holdman is Old, man. Daniels has never had much of an impact and he's been hurt agin this year. Our rookie DTs are fine next to Grif, but not game-breakers. We even got rid of Cedric Killings, whose name alone made him cool. Lots of work to do there, folks.
Here's what must happen:
1. Start Campbell. Get him expeirence, see if he can play, and he can't be worse than MB right now.
2. Start Rocky. Same thing, but as per Holdman.
3. Draft on the D-line and in the secondary.
4. FA the same, plus line o-line depth.
5. The coaches need to sit down and really re-evaluate everything from top-to-bottom, ala the Baker Iraq commission. I think between them they've got the football smarts to fix it, but "stay the course" is no longer an option.
6. Maybe let some other o-line guys get a shot to see if they can play and to see where we need new folks.
7. Win a few games going out, especially against the NFC east and at home. Restore some pride, damn it, and calm the faithful down.
