Only about half of all Head Coaches call plays. A few years back barely any head coaches called plays. That's supposed to be what coordinators do. As fast paced as games move, how can a person be expected to manage the whole game all the while coming up with the next play within 5 seconds. I like the setup.

This season has been a disappointment so far but other factors have contributed heavily. Portis health and Brunell's decline have been the biggest factors. The poor defensive play was unexpected.
This is the 2006 NFL though, teams go up and down every year. Look at the Bucs and Panthers, like us good team last year that have struggled this year.

I wouldn't be too quick to buy into the Gibbs has failed argument, one year from now they could be calling him a genius again!
