My wife got the Millenium Falcon and STILL has it. Along with the X-Wing, the Imperial Shuttle, and a Walker (the two-legged kind). We gave them to my son, now he plays with them.
As for Christmas memories, I have a fairly recent one. My son's Christmas two years ago. He was one and a half, walking but not talking too well. We had been telling him about Christmas and Santa but he really didn't quite grasp the concept. We bring him down and there are a bunch of presents for him. Confused as to what they are, he sorta, with help opens the first one. As soon as he realizes that it's a toy that he has been wanting, he figures out that all the other presents probably contain toys and starts literally
trembling with joy. He can't wait to open all the presents and play with them. He was so amazingly happy that you couldn't help but be happy too.
