Here's how it could be worse:
- We could have the same record with a decent but soft coach who could never get his players properly focused or motivated. We could put up with this for 7 years, while only tasting the playoffs once. (The Turner Era)

He could totally abandon the defense, while his offensive "blocking" schemes rattle our young QB so much that he never fully recovers.
