Just to add, he was clearly burnt. He had Dick Vermeil syndrome at that point. Years of living football 24/7, sleeping in his office on cot, and being obsessed with football and winning took it's toll. He missed his family, he had won 3 Super Bowls, the guy had nothing left to give in his mind.
