Well I'd be very interested in engaging anyone who thinks that in a debate on the subject, because trust me, the league is taking notice of what Ladell Betts can do. Philly, Atlanta, and Carolina are all acutely aware of his skill set.
Betts is a good backup/marginal starter. We paid him good backup money. Everyone needs to remember that the salary cap will be 109 million in 2007, it's like 20% higher than it was in 2005. So if people are comparing contracts to pre-CBA negoatiations, they need to adjust their perceptions of contract value by 20%.
