I think a lot of animosity is being thrown on the offense for leaving a lot of oppertunities on the table. And rightfully so, last year we were very good at converting our few and far between successful drives into points. But this year, we've put toghether a lot more quality drives. A LOT more. Don't look at a few select scenarios when you have the entire body of work to look at. That says that we are about on par with last year. Don't underestimate the value of an offense that even in ultimate failure, can move the ball down the field. Field postion is directly proportional to how many points a team scores.

Looking foward, its very good that we get more oppertunities to score per game. We may not be successful right now. But going foward, those problems are easily fixible with the personel we have.

Likewise don't overestimate the ability of a D that when given ideal field position, squanders it and fails to force turnovers ever. Points for/against simply don't tell you enough about the team to predict future performance. Yards are much better at that.

These problems aren't as fixible with the personel we have.
