That is a great example of how the world should work. I'd much prefer if we didn't celebrate race at all. I just think that if we are truly advancing there needs to be a point when we as a society stop celebrating accomplishments or milestones that are primarily based on race. But alas I don't think we'll ever see this because we have too many people and things we celebrate this way.

For example: Would reaching this point mean we'd have to ultimately devalue the accomplishemnets of MLK?
