@amd: we have joe's crab shack's here, but I've never been. I had a feeling I would be disappointed. However, stone crabs are good here in FL ... people mostly just eat the claws (they're huge).

I used to go to this place called The Red Roost with my family, way back in the day. We had to take a ferry to get there, and it was always a fun experience because I was pretty young. I haven't been to many all-you-can-eat crab places, but I'd have to say this one was prototypical. You know -- huge paper tablecloth on a roll at the end of the table, wooden picnic tables, etc. I heard that it closed, but I'm not sure because I found some info online about it. Has anyone ever been there?
