Art Monk never brought racism or stupidity with him on or off the field, he was a character guy and one who deserves to be enshrined. The people who voted for Michael Irvin should be absolutely embarrassed with themselves. I dont care about the Hall of Fame anymore, If they fail to understand how good Art Monk was then they dont deserve to have him, he was and will always be one of the greatest Redskins of all time.
I'm an African-American, I saw Irvin's little interview on Real Sports and his "quest for redemption." The only reason Irvin got in is because he's one of them. Them meaning the media. They protect each other. Pat Summerrall suffered from alcoholism. Summerall went to ESPN and spoke to the management and told them to give Irvin a chance. ESPN did. Irvin has relapsed several times as an employee of ESPN. Irvin is an embarrassment to his family, community and people. When one does good such as Monk and is not recoginized for his accomplishments by the media at large, then we who understand his contribution should create our own award to give to him
