btw, didn't back read this thread, but for a LAPTOP, DO NOT use drivers from nvidia.com. most of the time they won't work (it'll tell you it won't work in the setup). for laptops, you kinda have to use whatever the manufacturer gives you on their website, even though it probably isn't updated very often.
it might be different if you have one of those 3,000$ dual gfx card desktop replacements, but if you did, you'd already know about it's driver situation
