As you all know I am extremely happy about this.
Dallas was probably the last place Turner would HC consideration for a while so Alex Smith should have at least a couple more seasons with him. The dream would be to get him for the majority of his career a la Manning and Moore.
This makes me so much more confident in Smith's development-- with a stable O-Line, an amazing back like Gore, potential in Vernon Davis and now an offensive mind like Turner developing Smith for a while let's say I'm optimistic about the future.
The defense remains a question mark. Nolan hasn't been able to establish anything there yet. Former Chargers LB coach Manusky is now the new coordinator. Let's hope he had something to do with their collective awesomeness.
