I remember reading that Daniels and Wynn were both big locker room presences, and that it would be resultantly difficult to cut both of them, at least from a morale perspective. It was interesting to hear Portis's interview with John Thompson, in which he mentioned the importance that players like James Thrash aｎｄ Robert Royal had had for team chemistry. Here you had the biggest star on the team talking about guys who were (are) at best role players being true core Redskins. I have heard that both Daniels and Wynn fit that mold as well.
